This last week

Well I haven't written in a few days, not that there has been nothing going on, just I am not sure even where to start! I have been feeling pretty weird this last few day. what do I think of the world we live in? do I even like ethier canidadte for president? what about their number two? oh yeah- the dow was down as much as 700 points yesterday...how does that effect me? what does that mean in our economy? our bank and car loan lender were both sold this week. will that effect us? AND when we are already stuggling to "get ahead" of life, what will we do IF or some would say, when, things go bad (and lets face it we know we are headed that way at SOME point in time, the scriptures don't lie) so I am grate ful this week for my sweet husband who taught family home evening last night. he told the kids we had 1 minute to get out of the house and we were never comeing back, so go pack. Olivia was excited and jack cried. jackson filled a bag with nothing but p.j's and olivia got all sorts of clothes, but mostly lots of underware and one book. when they found out dad was " teasing" Olivia cried and jack was relived. His point was made very well he pulled out pictures of them and told them THATS what he would take; then he taught them about how the most important things in our lives are each other, the knowledge of the gospel and our savior. he taught them as long as we have those things with us, it would not matter where we are or what happens- we will have each other, forever. So as I have amny questions running through my head about what kind of world little Adri will be born into, I know in the end it doesn't really matter, we have each other.
So in a turn of thought, here are a few pictures of ya ya. she has a busy life. the fist is the soccer team and then the next are of today. it was picture day and I thought I should document how she looked BEFORE she left that way no matter how her pictures turn out I can know in twenty years I tried.lol!

Driving the family crazy

Last night I realized that this little phase of pregnancy could maybe drive my very wonderful husband and children crazy. In the last four days our silverware drawer has already moved locations twice. for some reason at 6:oo pm it made sense to rearrange almost every cupboard in the kitchen, which means the inside of the cupboards are clean and every thing organized, just nobody has any idea where anything is! the other problem is that I am so tired by the end of my frenzied reorganization time that the regular cleaning is falling behind. so maybe my ceder chest and kitchen cupboard are clean, so is olivias toys and of course the baby stuff is organized. BUT the floors need mopped and the laundry is a never ending mountian in our room, I can't seem to keep up with the kitchen counters and endless things that like to find there way on the counters. not to mention finnish my tutus and start the halloween costumes and a baby blessing dress. no wonder they are going crazy! They can't find anything in a half cleaned- rearranged house that makes no sense why or what is clean or done. This morning Jackson asked me why I kept moving the spoons. I told him somtimes mommys do weird things when they are pregnant. he said "yep, thats why you moved em' your preg-ant." so as I sit her with the crazy urge to rip apart yet another closet full of things, I am grateful for a great family who loves me no matter how many times I rearrange the house while spending my little energy on the needless things and neglecting the obvious ones!

Right now I am not only eating a lot but I am headed into the nesting phase of pregnancy. Yesterday I worked on tutus- which is getting really hard with this belly, decorated my house for Halloween, organized my ceder chest, cleaned the house, watched a movie with the kids, went to a cooking class at the church, finished the baby shower list, and found time to get obsessed with the baby blessing dress. As I was cleaning out the ceder chest I came across my blessing dress and Olivia's ( don't know where jacks is!?!). I started thinking about what to do for Adri's dress last week and looking at these two dresses I suddenly knew I must figure it out that moment! lol. as I continued organizing, I came across some beautiful pillowcases my grandma made and one in particular stood out to me. I matched MY baby lessing bonnett to the pillow case, I have always thought it was cute and they matched nicely. then I remebered heathers blog a few weeks ago and the dresses she made for her girls out of pillow cases. my only problem is that the fabric is yellowing. So I am going to try and whiten it, I thoguth the project was lost ( which was a trgedy of the highest degree) but then I came up with a dress design that will hide the spots the yellowing has started. by the decortive part on the pillow there is NO yellow and so I think I will still be able to use it. Now I can have a beautiful, meaningful and affordable options for our newest angel. here are the pictures of the pillow case and my design. the pink in the picture will be a sheer overlay on the cotton, so It will be light in color and weight. now I just have to figure out how to do it all! let me know what you think and if you have any ides for the yellowing problem.

EAT GIRL EAT

so I am at that stage in this pregnancy when you think that there is only one thing in life to do....eat. If I told you my list of items consumed today, jaws would hang open and loud gasps would be heard around the room. My problem is not just that I LIKE to eat, but that the quality of food I eat is....well, lets just say lacking in even a small particle of healthy goodness for me or Adri. I know this to be true for the inspiration of an eating blog came when I just spend 11.00, on nothing healthy- except the two jugs of water I could not live another second with out. I finnished the twinkies before I got home. I won't tell you the rest. I KNOW! its sad. the worst part is that I don't feel even bad. I don't know why, but I consume these bad for me things, and not only do I eat them; I very much enjoy them! Its like I am in high school, but as all women know I no longer have a benifit of youth and boundless energy to burn it off. hmmm. There really is nothing else to say except, well I think Its time to go make and EAT dinner. this is one of those things on the list (which is getting long) that I am praying can go away after this sweetie makes her entrance, there really is no option for me on this..... things have to change! for every time I think about the after haveing baby life, I can hear olivias now famous question " mommy, why do moms still look pregnant even after they have had their baby?"

goofy stories

This week a few thing happened which were kind of funny:

on Monday when Mike took livy to school she said " dad, I think Jesus is a boy." ( very thoughtfully) mike told her of course he was a boy! then she said " yeah I think so to, he just has really girly hair."

Jackson has had a runny nose this week so of course many fun things have come of this, but the high light was yesterday when he said " mom I had a big booger, but I took care of it" of course I told him good for him then he said " there was a little juice left..... but I just licked it." YUCK!!! I told him not to get the juice anymore, that just might be a gross thing to do.

A couple nights ago when Livy and I were talking before night time she told me that her and he friends had found a spider on the school playground. curious how she reacted in front of her new friends I asked what they did with it. she said they mostly screamed but one of her friends almost touched it with her nose. then she said " you know what kind of spider it was??? IT WAS A MOMMY LONG LEG!" how cute is that?

being mom

I love singing lullabies to my kids. There is just something in that rare moment when they actually let me sing to them at night and every thing is calm, well there is just something in that moment that makes me feel like a mom. I think as a young girl this was how I pictured being a mom- hugs, dancing, cupcakes and lullabies. What I didn't picture were all the other "fun" things that can come with the territory. like Olivia proclaiming at soccer tonight " OH MOM, we got a booger, and its a big one....but I think you can get it!" or when after loosing a game of monopoly she pouted for an hour, or Jacksons endless crying today. But tonight when I put my sweet ones to bed, we talked about the day, and Jackson asked me to sing him a song, every thing felt good, and I would just be a liar if I didn't say being a mom is everything I dreamed and more.
